Site-Based Case Manager/Match Support Specialist
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Position Purpose: Essential to the BBBS brand, the functions of this position is to serve as a resource to other case managers within the program, provide file review prior to matching, conduct monthly one-on-one meetings to review progress, schedule and coordinate monthly program staff meetings and trainings, as well as mentor monthly activities, compile program numbers and submits quarterly reports, ensure that volunteers and children are appropriately enrolled and matched while executing a high degree of independent judgment when utilizing BBBS standards and practices. A high-level customer service, focusing on volunteer options and child safety, is to be demonstrated throughout the volunteer and child enrollment and matching process.
Performance Measures: The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time; youth yield; youth/parent processing time, customer satisfaction, match closure rate, match retention rate, average match length, volunteer rematch rate, and customer satisfaction

Big Brothers Big Sisters held their 6th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the beautiful Moorings at Hawk’s Nest. The golfers enjoyed a windy but gorgeous day on the course while helping support the children of Indian River County. The first place team was Alan Ryall, Alan Polackwich, Bob Wiss and Roger Smith. The second place team was Tom Hughes, Tom O’Connor, Dale Content and Bill Blair. The third place team was Micheal Hauser, Steve Burrgon, Patrick Toole, and Ken Miller. Proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Indian River County mentoring programs. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Golf Tournament.

On Saturday, January 14th, Big Brothers Big Sisters partnered with the Vero Beach Museum of Art to bring Big Brothers Big Sisters families a wonderful day filled with inspiration and creation. Big Brothers Big Sisters families were taken on a tour of the museum where they were treated to world class galleries including; The View Out of His Window by Jeffrey C. Becton and Object/ Shadow by Larry Kagan. After the tour, parents and children created paintings that represented their own uniqueness. The Vero Beach Museum of Art provided an outstanding instructor, Christine Thomas, who worked diligently with adults and children to make sure everyone took home a beautiful work of art. After painting, families enjoyed a great lunch provided by Jimmy John’s of Vero Beach. Families capped off a great day by taking a group picture in the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s atrium. Families all took home art kits including; paint sets, paint brushes, colored pencils, and chalk.
This event, part of the Family Links to Learning program, seeks to bring families together and provide free hands on learning experiences for all involved. The Family Links to Learning program is made possible by the Indian River Community Foundation. Big Brothers Big Sisters parent, Sandra J-W., says, “It really was a wonderful day. If was great for the children to experience something that they might not have ever done and great for parents to socialize as well. My children are still talking about the event and have been asking me when they can go back.”
